This yoga is different. A traditional, individualized approach where we work one on one takes an honest look at your state of being, and provides the tools to generate lasting change.
There is so much more to yoga than using the tools to become physically fit. When applied to an individual holistically, āsana / posture practice explores long held patterns of movement, and provides the opportunity to introduce healthier ones. Prānāyāma / breath work brings us into conscious connection with our nervous system to develop a calmer, clearer default state of being. Meditation, chanting, and visualization invite the natural intelligence of our human system to learn from the wider intelligence of the universe.
Yoga is ultimately about how we choose to live. Harnessing the power of our discipline with a daily practice opens a gateway to making conscious choices in every aspect of life. With more than a decade of teaching experience, I am committed to serving the highest good of each student as the grandfather of modern yoga instructed:
“Teach what is inside you. Not as it applies to you, to yourself, but as it applies to the other.”
– Śrī Tirumalai Krishnamacharya
Through the various techniques available to fortify the mind, body, and spirit, a consistent yoga practice helps us learn to cooperate with our senses and our environment through the genius of nature. Nature models how to exist in harmonious rhythm. Everyone’s rhythm is unique, as is the path to discovering it, making an individualized approach ideal for those who wish to leave behind patterns of thought and behavior that have an ill effect on their health and well being.
I offer sessions primarily at Inner Peace Holistic Center in Northwood, New Hampshire, but select sessions are available remotely. Please click below to learn more.
About my training
I am a 700+ hour trained and certified yoga instructor. I have been practicing for nearly 20 years and teaching since 2008.
I have trained in the lineage of T Krishnamacharya and his son, TKV Desikachar. These teachers “pioneered the adaptation of yoga techniques for therapeutic intervention.” This method of individualization of practice informs every aspect of my own teaching.
I completed my primary 200 hour, advanced 500 hour, and individualized 700 hour yoga trainings under Guta Hedewig, who operates The Yoga School NY. I have also completed The Heart of Yoga and Pilgrimage of Sound programs at The Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram in Chennai, India.
I view teaching as a great honor and responsibility, and I work with subtle efficiency. It is my intention to help you cultivate peace, stillness, fortitude, and integrity by providing you practical techniques for changing the way you feel.
